Testimonials
“When I reflect on the six years I spent in Chapel Hill, one of the things I am most grateful for is how being there allowed me to be menotred by Heather. I was able to learn yoga and how to share yoga from the most knowledgable, kind hearted teachers I have every practiced with.
Heather’s warmth both welcomed and inspired. Her holistic understanding of yoga and her deep rooted knowledge of anatomy, fitness and health complement her powerful gift of teaching. Her light transcends in all her students and her classes.
After completing YTT with Heather, I immediately felt confident to share yoga with others. I also felt more confident and sure of who I am in general. I firmly believe YTT still shows up everyday in some form either on or off my mat.
I truly wish I could do it all over again, it is a blissful experience. YTT was one of the happiest and rewarding periods of my life. I simply loved it. Whether you go on to teach yoga or not; you will get more out of it than you could ever expect.”
— Maddie H.
“Heather single handedly changed my life. My entire world had just blown up and she suggested I go through YTT. I told her I had no interest in teaching yoga, I just wanted to practice. She encouraged me to do it for my mental health, to dive deep into my dark feelings. That decision was the start of my new life.
YTT brought me clarity, strength, peace, confidence, and so much knowledge. After a week of learning from Heather, absorbing her energy and passion for yoga, my mind started to think differently and I decided that I had to teach.
Heather's incredible knowledge and enthusiasm for teaching yoga, the philosophy and anatomy, tied in with her ability to bring out the best in people makes her the ultimate mentor.
After graduating from YTT, I felt like a confident teacher ready to share yoga with the community. Heather has inspired me in so many ways and has had such a lasting impact on me, I will forever cherish being her student. There's no better gift you can give yourself.”
— Marta K.
“I never thought about being a yoga teacher until I heard one of my yoga teachers say, ‘One of my favorite things about being a yoga teacher is teaching other people how to become one’. At that moment in Heather's power vinyasa class, I felt a shift. She didn't say it as a sales pitch but rather as a genuine comment she offers while guiding her students.
Allowing Heather to guide my yoga teacher training shifted me in countless ways. I learned how to deepen my own practice, skillfully offer technique to others, and most importantly recognize that becoming a yoga teacher is a process.
Heather's ability to teach from her experience is conveyed in a way that makes learning from her sensible, relatable, and super rewarding. While Heather has learned from some reputable, ‘famous’ yoga teachers, I say I have too!”
— Abbe S.

“Training with Heather Kasey has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my yoga journey. Her teaching is grounded and incredibly rich in depth and knowledge. She brings a presence that is steady enriching, and intuitively attuned to the heart of yoga, creating an environment where learning feels both expansive and deeply personal.
After toying with the idea for 20+ years, finally committing to this training felt like a lifelong dream realized. Heather made every moment worth the wait. Each session carried layers of insight and refection, offering not just instruction, but true wisdom that continues to unfold, even after completing this 200 hour training.
I would take this training again and again without hesitation. To study yoga with Heather is a gift, and anyone who steps into her space is fortunate to be guided by someone with depth, authenticity and heart.”
— Lisa Z.
"Heather was the foundation to my YTT experience! She is so knowledgeable and passionate about all facets of yoga.
For someone like me, who was nervous and a bit daunted by the process, Heather was so unbelievably supportive and inspiring. She is a fantastic balance of challenging and nurturing, and truly pushed me to aspire to my potential as a yoga practitioner and instructor.
Heather's YTT program changed my life for the better and I would recommend it to anyone interested!"
— Liv M.
“Training with Heather in YTT was truly a life-changing experience.
I left feeling confident I could teach yoga, I deepened my personal physical practice and knowledge of the asanas and anatomy, but most importantly to me, I became more connected to the spiritual and philosophical components of yoga that I feel like are often missing from studio cultures.
YTT demands vulnerability and honesty, and Heather created a space that made me feel comfortable to be both of those things!”
— Dominique E.
